Shredders

Primary shredders are used for initial size reduction or pre-chopping of the input material to prepare it for further processing. The primary shredder can also be used to increase the capacity of a recycling plant, or for making voluminous waste denser for easier transportation.

Secondary shredders are used for secondary size reduction of different materials to ensure liberation of different fractions and prepare it for sorting. Some secondary shredders can also be used as primary shredders for low capacity plants or for relatively small input materials.

Super Chopper

The ELDAN Super Choppers are heavy-duty primary shredders designed as first step in any recycling process.

Low speed and high torque make the Super Choppers the ideal primary shredders for processing tough materials. They are powered directly by either planetary gear and frequency converter or a hydraulic motor and power unit, both ensuring automatic reverse for overload protection and minimizing knife damages. Adjustable knife clearance optimizes cutting function, and the knives can be reground multiple times on a “flat-bed” grinder to ensure long life and low operation costs. The unique rotor is manufactured and designed for minimum wear.

The Super Choppers are available both as single and double shaft versions depending on the needed capacity and cutting force. For the toughest processes, ELDAN also offer a Super Chopper Heavy-Duty version.

Multi Chopper

The ELDAN Multi Chopper is a heavy-duty primary shredder designed as first step with built in screening.

The Multi Chopper has a low speed, high torque rotor enabling processing of tough materials. It is powered directly by either planetary gear and frequency converter or a hydraulic motor and power unit, both ensuring automatic reverse for overload protection and minimizing knife damages. Knives are available in different steel qualities providing the optimum solution for processing of your specific material. Easily exchangeable wear parts give you a virtually indestructible machine which is easy to maintain. For a flexible production, screens are available with different hole sizes.

Ring Shredder

The ELDAN Ring Shredders are the optimum high-speed primary shredder for size reduction and opening of light scrap.

The Ring Shredders are equipped with impact rings that ensure opening of the material and liberation of metals. The impact rings are mounted on four secondary shafts located on the rotor. Exchangeable wear parts give you a virtually indestructible machine and the easily exchangeable grates are available with different hole sizes for a flexible production.

Twin Shaft Clean-Cut Shredder

The ELDAN Twin Shaft Clean-Cut Shredder is a primary shredder for one step production of clean-cut tyre chips from car and truck tyres. The material is ideal for tyre recycling into Tyre-Derived Fuel (TDF) for cement kilns.

The Twin Shaft Clean-Cut Shredder is designed with two rotors each equipped with two electrical motors and high torque gearboxes. Two frequency converters ensure a very flexible operation with individual setting of rpm, overload protection, auto reverse at overload, and high torque from zero rpm. The construction enables easy change of the knives by simply lifting the entire rotor out. The wear resistant knives ensure efficient primary shredding, and the knives can be reground to ensure long life and low operation costs. Stand and inlet hopper are customized for the individual tyre recycling set up. This primary shredder is delivered with rotors for either 50 mm or 100 mm output depending on customer need.

The ELDAN Twin Shaft Pre-Shredder is the perfect primary shredders for cable plants looking to increase capacity at a good price.

The Twin Shaft Pre-Shredder is designed with two rotors each equipped with an electrical motor and high torque gearbox. Two frequency converters ensure a very flexible operation with individual setting of rpm, overload protection, auto reverse at overload, and high torque from zero rpm. The construction enables easy change of the hooked knives by simply lifting the entire rotor out. The wear resistant hooked knifes are available in different thicknesses for controlling the size of the output. Stand and inlet hopper are customized for the individual set up.

Multi Purpose Rasper

The ELDAN Multi Purpose Rasper is a heavy-duty shredder used as both primary and secondary shredder depending on material and capacity.

High inertia from the flywheel ensures an even load on the machine, thus yielding a higher cutting power. The machine is belt driven for simple transmission, and the rotor is manufactured and designed for minimum wear. The knives can be reground multiple times on a “flat-bed“ grinder ensuring long life and low operation costs. The machine is designed for quick and easy change of knives and screens, which are available in different hole sizes for flexible production. Exchangeable wear parts ensure a virtually indestructible machine.

The Multi Purpose Rasper is available in different sizes and as extra heavy-duty versions depending on the needed capacity and cutting force.

For the added benefits of adjustable rotor speed, reduced power supply costs, reduced power consumption by up to 40% and starting up when fully loaded with material, the Multi Purpose Rasper can be delivered with frequency converter at an additional cost.

Rasper

The ELDAN Raspers R800/1200 and R807/1207 are primary shredders used for size reduction of material in small and medium capacity recycling plants. For even smaller capacities of cable, the ELDAN Rasper R400-3 can be used for primary size reduction. This is the ideal solution for preparing all types of dry cables with max. cable diameter of Ø40 mm for granulation, including steel armoured cables.

The Raspers have both flying and static knives. The flying knives are either wedge mounted or bolt mounted. The knives can be reground multiple times on a “flat-bed“ grinder ensuring long life and low operation costs. Adjustable knife clearance optimizes the cutting function, and shear pins protect the drive system from momentary overload. The rotor is manufactured and designed for minimum wear. Screens with different hole sizes available for flexible production.
